Charleston’s Cooper River Bridge Run was recently named the winner of the Governor’s Cup, which goes to the top tourism event in South Carolina. Originally designed to improve the health and fitness of Charleston area residents, the event – now in its 42nd year – brings tens of thousands of participants, with an estimated 60% of them from out-of-town. It is actually the 3rd largest 10-K event in the country!

So, what does that mean for local businesses? How about $19 Million for hotels, restaurants, and stores? That’s a lot of money coming in for one weekend. With the tourism influx comes “dreamers” – folks who dream of one day living in the area.

So, if you’re thinking of selling, Bridge Run weekend may be a good goal for the debut of your home. It’s coming up April 6!
